- Managing the Year-End Townhall from A-Z

- The Challenge: A Fintech company faced the challenge of organizing a memorable end-of-year event for its employees, with limited experience and expertise in event management. The company lacked the resources and experience to coordinate a large-scale event for over 300 people. Recognizing the importance of celebrating milestones and employee engagement for their first event end of the year event, the company sought assistance from Perky People to manage the event from A-Z. The Solution: Perky People took on the responsibility of managing every aspect of the event, leveraging on expertise and resources to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees, in partnership with the client’s event committee. Details of Action Taken: Alignment Meetings: After getting the specific requirements from the client, Perky People created a project plan, to cover all aspects of the event. This project plan also clearly outlined the responsibilities of the Perky People team and the client’s event team. A weekly meeting was held to ensure everyone is updated on the progress of actions , as well as the evolving requirements of the event. These regular meetings served as a strong foundation for developing a customized event plan tailored to the client's specific needs and expectations. Venue Selection and Logistics: Perky People supported the client in identifying and securing an appropriate venue that could accommodate the size and requirements of the event. The client took care of the procurement of the employee give aways, while Perky People took care of the rest of the event logistics. Ticketing and Registration: Perky People implemented an online ticketing and registration system to streamline the attendee registration process and check-in procedures to ensure a hassle-free experience for all participants. Sound and Lighting Setup: Perky People provided high-quality LED screens, sounds and lighting systems that enhanced the ambiance and atmosphere of the event venue. Perky People ensured that all technical aspects were seamlessly integrated to support the entertainment and presentations planned for the event. Entertainment and Activities: Perky People curated an engaging lineup of entertainment and activities tailored to the preferences of the client, to ensure attendees experience a once in a life show for their year-end party. This included live performances, interactive games, teambuilding activities, and networking opportunities designed to create memorable experiences and foster connections among participants. Facilitation and Event Management: Perky People provided experienced event staff to oversee the smooth operation of the event, managing logistics, coordinating schedules, and addressing any issues or concerns that arose throughout the event duration. The Results: The collaboration with Perky People to manage the end-of-year company event proved to be a resounding success for the Fintech company, enabling them to host a memorable and impactful event without the burden of managing the logistical details themselves. - Developing A More People-Centric HR Strategy

- The Challenge: A retail company experienced challenges with its people strategy, which was traditionally developed through a top-down approach solely by the HR Director. This approach resulted in disconnected strategies that failed to address the diverse & real needs of employees and align with the evolving business priorities. Recognizing the need for a more effective and inclusive approach to developing a people strategy, the company partnered with Perky People to develop their HR Strategy. The Solution: Using a structured methodology, Perky People introduced a collaborative approach to developing the company’s HR strategy, emphasizing co-creation with employees, key stakeholders, and the HR team. This approach aimed to incorporate diverse perspectives, employee feedback, business priorities, global trends, and lessons learned from past strategies. Perky People facilitated a 2-day strategy development workshop and worked with the HR team in refining and finalising their HR Strategy document until they get the sign-off from the company CEO. Details of Action Taken: Needs Assessment: Perky People conducted a comprehensive review of the company's current business objectives, people practices, HR metrics and recent engagement survey results to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Co-Creation Workshops: A 2-day workshop was facilitated by Perky People, where the team reviewed the past, present and define the aspiration for the coming years. The workshop also brought together cross-functional teams to collaboratively define the vision, values, and strategic pillars and actions for the coming year. Strategy Development: Perky People synthesized the insights gathered from workshops and feedback sessions to develop the first draft of the HR strategy document, outlining the different outputs from the workshop i.e. vision, strategic pillars and objectives, key initiatives, timelines, and success metrics. The Results: The co-created strategy not only addressed past shortcomings but also positioned the company for long-term success by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, employee needs, and global trends. The HR team pioneered a new practice of developing a strategy, one that is co-created with their people, to drive organizational growth and employee satisfaction.

- Developing a Holistic Wellbeing Program

- The Challenge: A tech company recognized the importance of prioritizing employee wellbeing but lacked a structured approach to address the diverse needs of its workforce. The absence of a holistic wellbeing program resulted in increased stress levels, decreased productivity, and potential attrition among employees. Recognizing the critical role of employee wellbeing in fostering a happy, healthy, and engaged workforce, the company sought to implement a comprehensive solution. The Solution: The tech company engaged with Perky People to develop a multifaceted program aimed at promoting physical, mental, social, financial and emotional wellbeing among its employees. The solution included the following components: branding of a new wellbeing program, creation of an annual wellbeing calendar of activities/initiatives, creation of wellbeing committee, introduction of a wellbeing platform, launching an employee assistance program…etc. Details of Action Taken: Needs Assessment: Perky People conducted a thorough assessment of the company's workforce to understand their wellbeing needs, preferences, and challenges. Program Design: Based on the assessment findings, Perky People collaborated with the HR team and stakeholders from different departments, to design a bespoke wellbeing program. This included carefully designed wellbeing activities/initiatives & robust communication plan implemented throughout the year to cover the different dimensions of wellbeing such as physical, social, mental/emotional, financial and organisational. Implementation: The wellbeing program was launched with a comprehensive communication strategy to ensure maximum engagement and participation from employees. It also involved the different Wellbeing Committee members from the different Business Units. Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitoring and evaluation mechanisms were integrated in their employee listening strategy to assess the effectiveness of the program and its activities and initiatives, and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes. The Results: A comprehensive employee wellbeing program was implemented. The tech company demonstrated its commitment to prioritizing the health, happiness, and engagement of its people. The program addressed the diverse needs of employees but significantly increase their eNPS and Wellbeing Index compared to the previous year. The company remained dedicated to sustaining and evolving the wellbeing initiatives to ensure continued success and employee satisfaction.

- Supercharging The Engagement Of The Team

- The Challenge: The client’s nature of work often led to fragmented teams working on different projects, making it difficult to bring the team together at any given time. As the year approached its end, there was a growing desire to hold an engaging event that would unite employees, strengthen relationships, and end the year on a high. The Solution: The construction company recognized the need for an engaging team building event and partnered with Perky People to design and execute a memorable team away day experience. Details of Action Taken: Collaboration: Perky People collaborated closely with the client to develop a customized team building event based in a desert camp, to super charge the moral and take the engagement of the team to the next level. Perky People brought expertise in designing activities that promote collaboration, creativity and collective problem solving. Designing engaging activities: Perky People designed a series of physical challenges and interactive activities aimed at promoting teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills among participants. These activities were carefully curated to be both fun and meaningful, ensuring maximum engagement from all participants. Execution: On the day of the event, employees gathered at a designated venue where they were greeted by the Perky People team and introduced to the various activities planned for the day. Teams were formed, and participants enthusiastically took part in challenges that included icebreakers, getting-to-know-you activities, and physical challenges. The Results: People were engaged and very happy about the team building event. The CEO of the company even said that it was their best team way day they’ve ever had. The participants were very happy about the activity. To this day, people are still talking about the event according to their HR Director. It did not only provided a fun and memorable experience for employees but also helped in strengthening relationships, promoting collaboration, and ending the year on a positive note.

- The Challenge: Our client lacked a defined process for integrating new employees into the organization. This absence of a proper onboarding process led to confusion among new hires regarding their roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Additionally, there was a lack of clarity regarding who was accountable for various aspects of the onboarding process, resulting in inconsistency. The Solution: The client engaged with Perky People to co-design and implement a comprehensive onboarding program with clear roles, responsibilities, and structured activities tailored to company culture and needs. Details of Action Taken: The implementation of the new onboarding program involved several steps: Assessment of existing processes: A thorough evaluation of the existing onboarding practices was conducted to identify areas of improvement and gaps in the process. Collaboration and stakeholder buy-in: The onboarding team collaborated closely with key stakeholders across departments to gain insights, gather feedback, and secure buy-in for the proposed changes. Design and development of the onboarding program: Based on the assessment findings and stakeholder inputs, Perky People co-designed and developed a comprehensive program tailored to the company's needs and culture. This includes customised onboarding collaterals for new joiners like UAE country guide, onboarding guidebook, manager’s how to onboard a new team member handbook, etc. Training and communication: Training sessions were organized to educate HR personnel, department heads, and mentors on their respective roles and responsibilities in the onboarding process. Clear communication channels were established to facilitate seamless coordination and support throughout the program. Pilot implementation and iteration: A change management plan was put in place for a full implementation. The new onboarding program was piloted with a small group of new hires in a specific Business Unit, to test its effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Feedback from both new employees and stakeholders was collected and used to refine the program further, before doing a phased-approach launch across the organisation. The Results: The comprehensive onboarding program was implemented successfully. It has not only addressed the existing challenges but also contributed to a more positive and impactful onboarding experience for new hires. By prioritizing clarity, accountability, and support, the company has laid a strong foundation for the continued growth and success of its workforce.
